Purpose

The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for providing analytics, preparation, and presentation of key sales drivers and financial results. This position partners cross-functionally with sales leadership, Finance, Marketing, Clinical, and other departments to provide a sales analysis and support to help guide our best-in-class sales team. This critical position is a self-starter, high-performer, and highly analytical professional to support our team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing analytical methods and develop new methods to deliver standard and ad hoc reporting to support sales reviews, customer engagements, and quarterly planning
  • Partner with sales management on standard and ad hoc reporting (e.g., growth, account adoption, pricing, competitive intelligence, etc.)
  • Prepare and assist with preparation of daily, weekly and monthly commercial reporting
  • Generate sales insight from performance and forecast metrics via Salesforce.com and communicate sales results and key trends to sales leadership
  • Support the Sales team to identify sales fluctuations vs forecast vs prior periods within several dimensions such as account, physician, market, territory and regional alignments
  • Support in developing compensation plan that drives sales representative behavior
  • Support the calculation and payment of Sales team variable compensation and provide field support for compensation related inquiries including analysis and reporting of commissions, guarantees, over quotas, MBOs, and other payments to the Sales team
  • Partner with Finance and HR to process compensation adjustments for the Sales team including new hires, position changes, terminations, leaves of absences, and other related events
  • Partner with Finance to prepare variable compensation payout summaries for review and final approval
  • Maintain a working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 1271, FDA 21 CFR 820, AATB standards, ISO Standards, cGMP/CGTP, other relevant regulations/standards, and internal organizational policies and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings. Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours during weekdays or weekends with reasonable advance notice to support business/operational needs when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, from an accredited college or university required
  • At least 2 year(s) of experience in business analytics or related field required
  • Experience using salesforce is required
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credit hours) may be substituted to meet up to 2 years of experience requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree may be substituted to meet up to 4 years of experience requirements
  • Master’s degree may be substituted to meet up to 6 years of experience requirements
  • Clearance of favorable background investigation required
